Grounded

Painted in 2016, probably one of the hardest time periods of my career. I was knee deep in scaling my reproduction collection within the design industry. My paint studio was connected to my manufacturing, which gave me only small windows of alone time. In those windows I painted several new originals, Grounded depicts that sense of calmness in the midst of chaos. Many of my originals at that time were represented under the Holly Hunt brand. Grounded, a 72×45” was placed and photographed in the Dallas showroom just after being completed.
